Ang
Babae sa Septic Tank (The Woman in the Septic Tank) is so far the most unusual
local movie I have ever seen. It’s entertainingly hilarious with the right
mixture of fantastic screenplay, remarkable musical score, infectious acting
and crazy commentary while depicting relevant social conditions.
This
Pinoy indie film that was rated A by the Cinema Evaluation Board won the Best
Picture, Best Director, Best Screenplay and Best Actress awards at the 7th
Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival and Competition. This is the Philippine's
official entry to the Best Foreign Language Film category of the Academy Awards
2012.
Watch
Eugene Domingo’s hands-down performance as the Woman in the Septic Tank.
